Winter has arrived overnight...most of Northern Ireland woke up to about 5-6 inches of snow. And as we're not used to these conditions, the country has more or less ground to a halt. Apparently the snow will be gone by late this afternoon and we'll be back to our usual rain...
Sorry for not posting over the last week or so- I've had a busy Christmas - so here's a belated Happy New Year.

Here, in Sesimbra, heavy snow happened only once, aspeople can remember, in the XX century, and we can find a photo of that day reproduced in several coffe-shops.
Happy New Year, Blueboat!
I guess the children were happy.
Happy new year to you bluebloat.
But it looks so beautiful.

Happy New Year to you as well...this is a lovely picture even if you did all grind to a halt!
Great view of the snow-covered roofs!
Great shot, I had no idea it snows in Ireland. My mother used to live in County Galway. Maybe too warm there.
The snow looks so pretty! Memphis would grind to a halt, too.
Happy New Year!
