home from home

IKEA is opening its first Irish branch this Thursday - and there are reminders all over the city - advertising hoardings, leaflets etc. This room set appeared at the bus stop in Donegall Square West today. (I wish this lady had gone to sit on the settee, I'm sure she would have been much more comfortable.)

Sorry I missed that, I think they removed it before my bus got in at 5.00 You should have sat there and got somebody to take your pic (c: or even better - stuck the settee in the back of your car. Missed a real opportunity there!

Are you going to the opening??

We had our IKEA open her in Utah this summer and it was quite the event! A buzzillion people, free stuff and lots of music and excitement. The people who stayed overnight in line got free IKEA chairs and tshirts that said, "I Slept with IKEA" That's a little bit risque by our Utah standards!! :P

... actually, blue', I don't think the photo would have been just as good if she had been sitting on the sofa. Nice piece of ambiguity there.

hey blue, Ikea indeed has a lot briliiant ideas which reflect on their products.
Anyway, I believe the old lady was just being nice for not sitting there as she might think that Ikea or someone must have forgotten their room set and she did not want to be caught while sitting there!
Anyway, thanks for visiting my page! Actually that was an underwater light in a pool :p
