Elections looming...and a shameful statistic

This week election posters have started to appear on lamposts all over the city. Anna Lo is standing for the non-sectarian Alliance Party in our local assembly elections on 7th March and, as far as I am aware, is the first person from an ethnic minority background to stand on behalf of a mainstream political party in Northern Ireland elections. This has got to be a good thing for our country, especially in a week when a University of Ulster report has announced that Northern Ireland is the most racist country in the western world.

(No post yesterday as, for some reason, blogger wasn't letting me in.)

Very interesting. That's the way it should be with everyone having an equal chance. Let us know what the outcome turns out to be.
