Not sure what to say about this shop in Belfast city centre. I really can't see that any city (and particularly not Belfast) needs a shop that sells swords, crossbows and, deactivated guns. Just horrible.
Is that the shop in Lower North Street that used to sell fishing gear? I didn't realise that it had changed - must have changed hands too - the sign looks new. It used to be Joseph Braddell & Son Ltd. founded in 1811 when Joseph Braddell and his son came to Belfast from County Donegal. They established a business for the manufacture and retail of general sports and fieldsports equipment, including guns, fishing tackle and golf clubs. The fieldsports section separated from the general sports in 1913 and has become an established part of Irish sporting circles. Pity it has become this (I know gun sports are also a bit dubious)
It is on North Street - but on the bit above Royal Avenue (I'm not sure if that is upper or lower North Street...) I'd completely forgotten about Braddells - my dad is a very keen angler and I remember visiting Braddels on our (rare) trips into the city centre during the 70s.
I should have realised it's in Upper North Street by the high number - I just don't go up that direction as often as I did and the window layout looks just the same as Braddell's.
Can all remarks about Braddells be removed as the photograph does not refer to their location. If items are being published their truth should be verified.

ps, love the uncyclopedia entry, hilarious.
Looks like a place you'd find here in Mississippi where gun shows abound!
Not that I agree with that, of course.

just forget to say that you are right - this is the last thing Belfast needs.
