Dekko is a local interiors store, based very much on the IKEA model. It will be interesting to see how Dekko and other local stores cope when IKEA arrives in Belfast at the end of the year.

Oh my gosh, I love the colors in this photo. I don't normally love pink but this photo is amazing. I has such a pleasant and beautiful hue to it.
I just moved into my new apartment 1-1/2 years ago and I have new appliances in the kitchen. Except I don't cook. I think I've used the oven once, the dishwasher three times, and the microwave oven every day. :-)
Oh, yes...I love shiny kitchen thingies ;-)
IKEA is nice but I think at the end of some time every house would look as the same...with these makro shops we lost some of charcater don't you think?
The colors in your photo are appealing. However, I would not be happy if my wife did our kitchen all in pink. She would surely see less help from me if that were to happen.
I can't for the life of me see why people rave about IKEA. In a town near us where the council can take three years to approve plans for some new buildings, IKEA built their store in just a few months. Locals were kept in the dark about what was being built until it was too late to object. The store is a monstrous yellow eyesore and has caused traffic headaches for nearby residents.
oh dear, I fear I have touched a nerve Gerald. I agree the stores are pretty ugly to look at (though no worse than the proliferation of b&q/sainsbury/tesco etc. megastores), but I do love ikea (my husband loathes it with a passion). As Isabella says...shiny kitchen thingies... I guess its a girl thing!
I love everything about these!!! We now have two IKEAs in TX. They are very yellow and blue here and VERY packed. All the time. It's amazing. We go maybe once a year to just wander around.
I want one of those....how pretty.
