I took this photograph of the General Post Office in O'Connell Street, when I was down in Dublin earlier this week. I thought I'd post it today because of the Easter connection (the GPO was the headquarters of the Irish Volunteers during 1916's Easter Rising).

You have a very nice downtown building and post office. We do not have nice buildings where I live in Ohio.
Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting about the hummingbirds. I appreciate it.
I'm quite impressed by how empty O'Connell Street looks here -- every time I get up to Dublin, there's always so much traffic (of both the kind on foot as well as with wheels). :)
I really enjoy your blog; it's helped to convince me that I really should visit Belfast sometime.
Thanks for visiting.
Irish wanderer - O'Connell street was packed that day - as every day!, I think I was lucky just to get a break after everyone had crossed the road.
Thanks for the reminder of the Easter Rising.
