for cod and ulster

This is the first themed chippy I have ever come across. Situated on the Albertbridge Road,
it's name is a pun on the loyalist slogan 'for God and Ulster'. Sticking with the NI political theme, it sells Ian Paisley, Gerry Adams and even Drumcree burgers.

Chippy? Short for fish and chips shop?

You saw the little chippy on my blog today. It was altogether a different kind.

Thanks for putting this up! I've been wanting to see a few good photos of this place since it opened. Every time I hear the name it makes me laugh, in part because in my head I hear it in Paisley's voice....lmao

Regarding the menu, I would argue that the Red Hand should not be plain, but rather dripping with red sauce/ketchup.

I'm wondering why the only difference between Gerry Adams and Ian Paisley is a single onion ring..?

Loved this post, and couldn't resist to mention it, though a bit late. No wonder, coming from a country of dry cod fish eaters...

you should try valentinos fish & chip shop in Rostrevor its the best.Just tried it tonight & wasit great, fish & chips are the best, & the other shop they have for pizzas must be the best in Ireland, you want to tell all your mates about these two places.. its a bit of a trip there. but is the best they cook everything fresh to order (he dips the fish fillet in the batter etc)but the best bit is they everything is cooked & browned to perfection!
