rain, hailstones, thunder & lightning....

After the blazing sunshine of the last few days, Belfast is now experiencing all of the above....just look at the water pouring off my neighbour's guttering.
Here's hoping the city's drains can cope.

I wish. We are a month and a half into a drought and can use rain.

I like your photo. It offers hope.

I have 1 baby raccoon today and a pile of poop!

That is what I call rain coming down in sheets! It has been a long, long time since we have had rain like that.

Like the photo, but it remembers me of my August 1985 trip to Ireland: the wetteset summer I've ever experienced...

You really did a great job in catching the falling rain! When is the best time to visit Ireland--what month?

Now that looks a little more like the weather we had last week...

Thanks everyone for your comments.

Abraham, I hope you get some rain soon - if only we could send you some!

Kate, Ireland is beautiful any month of the year, but you can never be sure of the weather!! I think most people would recommend July/August, but I think May is usually the most reliably dry month.

That looks pretty nasty Blueboat, bit like here last night. We haven't seen any more than two hours of sunshine this June!
